Welcome, traveller.

I go by many names...

Some call me Mmmmystery Man...others know me as the Shadow Dweller. Some call me Secret Peter, where is he hiding, in a tree in a bush in a cupboard? No, he is inside yourself. Some call me chilli chicken ramen... others know me as clive. I am sometimes called Peppercorn, by the dutch. Some know me as Cilit Bang...

.

But you may know me simply as Laura

Laura’s top tips for sewing a Luxury Comedy Jacket

Hey guys, so as you know I made myself Noel’s jacket from Luxury Comedy, to see and meet him last October. I get a lot of questions about how I made it, so here are my tips! I don’t claim to be any sort of ‘expert’ but I am a second year fashion student, so I do know my sewing!

  • Collect a LOT of reference pictures. Make sure you know the jacket inside and out! Colours, textures, shape, all that sort of thing is very important.
  • Find a pattern that is very similar. Sewing and pattern stores have a lot of patterns, try to find a long coat similar to his. You can add a bit more flare in the lower part.
  • Don’t skimp on the details! Make sure to turn under the edges, sew all the hems, and line and interface everything! This makes a more professional result. For each of the shapes on the jacket I cut it from the fabric, fused it to interfacing, pressed under the edges and stitched it on in matching thread.
  • Make up a draft coat in scrap fabric. You can use this to check the fitting and how it goes together. You can then use this draft to draw on the coloured shapes, and trace them off to make your patterns. MUCH easier than guessing, makes for an exact result.
  • Plan Plan Plan! Give yourself PLENTY of time to make this. It is very time consuming and if you cut corners or skimp on the details, you won’t get a very appealing result.

Remember that jackets are one of the most difficult things to sew. It is really really important to check that it all fits you correctly. And the little details are what makes it stand out. Like the peacock blue lining and the gold letters. Good luck and happy sewing everyone!

You can tell Noel is quite taken with the Fountain of Youth porn fan fic as he brings it up a lot. Multiple interviews and even in the DVD commentary. Bet it did turn him on slightly. Bet he did touch himself.

Just wondering if any of you know what became of the rainbow pinata that was onstage in the second show from Noel Fielding’s Gala at the Sydney Opera House?

As I’m talking to the girl who made it and she is desperate to know if it was given to someone, and if the letter she wrote to Noel that was attached was also given to someone. Please help spread the word, and if you know, inbox me!

Looks like this: (Image not mine, credit to whoever it belongs to, its for identification purposes only! Don’t kill me, I’ve so much to give!)

Its Finished!

This is a collection of all my clips I took at the Noel Fielding Gala.

A bit here and there but the quality is pretty good, I was so close! Enjoy :)

This is my dear friend Mandy, aka Fantasy Man. She looked AMAZING!

As we were in the front row Noel saw her and said “Hi Fantasy man, thanks for coming!” Also towards the end of the show he accidentally threw bread at her (don’t ask) and then was like “Sorry! You know there is a little part of you in me, like russian dolls” and also did the Fantasy Man voice for her.

Isn’t she awesome?

You can find her blog here

Noel fielding have me a feather from his shirt.

You know that black one with the feathers he wore to secret policemans with russel?

Yeah. He handed it to me from the stage.

Dead.

In other news the show was AMAZING and I took HEAPS of photos and videos so watch this space.

Guys I can’t.
He was SO sweet.
He said he loved my jacket. He said, and I quote “Oh my god, that’s amazing, did you make that?”
We chatted about Lucifer references and going to shows and my jacket.
He was so so nice!

Look out for hints at what the Oz shows will contain, and ideas for future tours. Looks like he wants to bring Arnold 5 onto the stage eventually!

“Went to a graveyard the other day… did a shit on a grave”

So I did a gothic-esque shoot a month or so back, and between shots the photographer was taking test shots, to test lighting, etc. Flicking through the photos on her camera, saw this one and immediately cracked up laughing, that Boosh quote was the first thing in my head.
I’m so dark.
